“Walking With God”

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

How can one really know if he is walking in the will of God? Well, there are a few indicators that will be evident in the life of someone walking with God. First, the way we live, our lifestyle, will always yield the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible clearly teaches that the steps of a “good” man are ordered by the Lord. Psalm 37:23

Second, we must totally surrender to God. Our lives are not our own and if we want God to bless us as He wants to, it is a necessity that our hearts be yielded to Him. The question is, “do we really trust Him enough to give Him everything?” A tidbit, the more you know of Him, the more you will trust Him.

Third, God wants us to be humble.  “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.” Psalm 25:9  When we pray and focus on God’s word, we are acknowledging that we need God’s strength and wisdom.

Children of God are committed to His excellence and through His Word we receive this same excellence.  Our faith is increased through our daily study of the Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

The boldness of our faith should shine as a light in darkness.
