When facing stormy weather, we seek refuge. We want to be somewhere protected, somewhere safe. When facing a life storm, it is the same. In several of the Psalms, the Lord is referred to as our refuge.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; Psalm 91:9
But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:22
I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Psalm 142:5
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Psalm 144:2
No matter what situation we are faced with, Jesus is our refuge.

If ever a time when we need to remember that Jesus is our refuge, it’s now. It’s difficult to find comfort when a child dies and when there’s a RIF on the job and so many are hurt, but that’s when faith steps in. We have to encourage ourselves with these words before we can encourage someone else. Thanks, Gaynell. Needed!!!!!
Praise the Lord for His favor!
