Forgiveness brings us close to the heart of God and enlarges our capacity to love. It is impossible to draw close to God with hate and malice in the heart. Jesus gave the greatest lesson of forgiveness on the cross when He uttered, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” When we learn to forgive, we can truly love as God requires us to.

The Lord says though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool (Isaiah 1:18).

He forgave us so we can forgive others!
