Pastor Nolan Albert

Pastor Nolan Albert has been the overseer and spiritual leader of Evergreen Baptist Church for 39 years. He is the husband of Gaynell and they are the proud parents of two sons, Ashlon and Rashod. Pastor Albert has a genuine concern for his flock and seeks to lead them according to God’s will and God’s word. Pastor Albert echoes Paul’s words, “follow me as I follow Christ.” Pastor Albert graduated from Lutcher High School Boys Division in May 1972. Pastor Albert attended Union Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA and Kenner Bible College in Kenner, LA. He graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1975, a Master’s Degree in Education in May 1984 and a +30 degree in Administration and Supervision in June 1990.

Pastor Albert has taught in the public school system at the secondary level, served as a middle school principal and vice principal at the secondary level. Pastor Albert also served as a supervisor and director in administration in the public school system. Pastor Albert is a God fearing man that preaches the Word of God with power and clarity. He is a strong teacher of the word of God and believes that we should lead by example. He believes that the family concept is one that we should embrace in the church and at home and that those relationships should be and must be built on sincere and real love. He believes that we should be decent and in order in everything that we do.

First Lady Gaynell Albert

A family that prays together stays together is the old cliché used so often by Christian folk. Well, I agree. It is stated in the bible on more than one occasion that we should pray for one another. If we are to grow strong in God as a family, we must pray for one another. I am so blessed to be the wife of Pastor Nolan Albert, a mother of two wonderful sons and the First Lady of the Evergreen Baptist Church family. It is my desire that we, the body of Christ, will become so focused on Kingdom Building that whatever we do would result in fruit that will remain. I believe that God is continuing to prepare me to be the Christian Leader that he desires me to be. God has blessed me with the ability to teach, exhort, discern and serve and I am so grateful.

I enjoy doing the Evergreen Baptist Church program week after week as well as preparing the Evergreen Baptist Church PowerPoint for worship on Sundays. I serve as the Christian Education Training (CET) Superintendent. I love teaching the Adult Christian Education Training (CET) class, directing the Mass Choir and I truly love leading the Women's Group. Being involved in Evergreen Baptist Church is my joy and as long as God gives me the strength, I will continue to serve. Doing the will of my Heavenly Father is my highest priority and I just want to be an instrument of God's will. Everything that I do, I want it to bring glory to God.”

Our Mission: Evergreen Baptist Church presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that turns non-believers into believers, believers into disciples, and disciples into mature, fruit bearing followers who will impact the lives of those they meet.

Our Vision: Evergreen Baptist Church seeks to be the mouthpiece and the hands that lead people to Jesus Christ and develop them to a level of maturity that equips them for effective ministry inside and outside the church.

Through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God, we seek to bring individuals and families into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.
