We are told we must dress so that we can withstand the enemy when he approaches. All of our vital parts much be covered if we will sustain the forces of evil. Ephesians 6:11-12 says, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
There are forces fighting against us that we cannot see. That is why we must allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. We must also recognize when the enemy is at work. The Bible calls him a liar and a deceiver. He will attack from all directions and try to use situations and circumstances to discourage God’s people from true surrender. Satan knows that if he can plant seeds of doubt in your mind, your defense is destroyed.
Ephesians 6:10 tells us, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” We cannot win on our own, it is through His power that we will gain the victory.
