But God

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

The devil will try to take you out. His main objective is to leave you helpless and drained. He would have you denounce the power of the Almighty God.

And then we have these two infamous words….”BUT GOD”! The word “But” in the Bible often introduces God’s grace and compassion toward his children. These two ordinary words encapsulate the persona of our God. All seems lost and then we hear, “But God.” That’s when He intervenes. That’s when He saves.

“But God” is the start and finish of a story we can all tell. When we thought we couldn’t make it, “But God”. When we were sick and couldn’t get well, “But God”. When we were down to our last dime, “But God”. When they counted us out, “But God”. When we thought we would lose our mind, “But God”. And you know the list goes on. Praise God that He is our “But God”! He will never leave us without hope even in the midst of our trials.

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass….” Genesis 50:20.

Remember that no matter the circumstances, God holds the ending!
