“Cry Out”

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Who do we cry out to when the times are hard? Who do we run to when we need refuge? The answer is quite obvious, God Jehovah! He is the only one who cares enough to come even during the worst times.

Crying out to God is an act of faith in God and trust in His mercy and power to act on our behalf.  When we cry out to God, we are expressing humility and total surrender to Him. We are begging for God to intervene with the resources needed to bring about a change in our situation.

God will do miracles in the lives of those who seek Him earnestly.  The Bible gives so many examples of how He did the unthinkable.

He raised the dead and gave sight to the blind.  He healed withered hands and made the lame to walk.  He fed five thousand with two fishes and five barley loaves. He cast out demons and calmed the raging sea.

I’m just crazy enough to believe that if He did it back then, He certainly can and will do it today. When I look back over my life, I can see the MIRACLES God performed, I can see His hands at work in situations I thought were hopeless.

“The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).
