God First

In times like these, we need a Savior! He is the anchor that will hold us when the storms of life are raging. If Jesus appeared right now, will you be ready to go home? With this pandemic, the storms and all the violence we are enduring, God should be top priority.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

When we choose to put God first, and it is a choice, we conclude that He is more important than any other person or thing.  We make sure that His Word is more esteemed than any other message we are hearing, and His will is bigger than any of our relationships or activities.

When God is first, we live by His commandments. Everything we have, everything we are is because of Him and should be dedicated to Him. We must hold nothing back. Jesus prayed, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:42.

We are different, we should stand out from the world. We are told to deny ourselves and take up our cross daily and follow Jesus. These are trying times and as the song so eloquently says, “If you ever needed the Lord, sure do need Him now right now. I need Him in the morning, I need Him in the noon day, I need Him in the evening. Need Him every day and every hour.”

In all things, put God first and that means before family, job, friends, etc. He is our all and all.
